Hostels in Hanga Roa

Great little cabanas to share with just one other person or group. Hosts were SUPER accommodating and lovely per all other reviews and always checked that everything was okay. We really appreciated them helping to find the strongest wifi on the property for an interview.

The stay with Kori and his family was amazing. At first, the location is great, not directly at the main road but very close to it and the beach and church, I never had to walk far. The beds were super comfy and clean, the dorm room offering enough space for all four people including luggage. Big kirchen with the chance to get introduced to how to make Ceviche. Great and big common areas on 1st & 2nd floor.I've been welconed at the airport, got a short city roundtrip on the way to the hostel and everything explained which is important to know. Kori also booked the tours for us if we asked him. Moreover, he and his wife checked back on us how we're going and if we need anything every day. The breakfast was great, and I have to mention, I loved the watermelon. I had a very special time, it felt like being part of a family, not just a tourist, and I got very emotional at our goodbye at the airport.

From start to finish the host, Mahatu was incredible! She was at the airport to pick me up which I wasn’t expecting, gave a quick tour to point out important features of the town including where to purchase park pass, loaned a phone charger when one was needed and also gave a return trip to the airport. Very reasonably priced vehicles available for rent…so helpful! Accommodations are clean, spacious and easy for walking around the town. Well stocked kitchen! I fully encourage you to stay!
