Given the high ratings, I expected a nice hostel. But I found more than that - a home away from home. Jane and Felipe are the wonder couple who make you feel special and like family from the moment you arrive. I intended to stay here for a week and left after 3. Everything from cleanliness, the food pets, and music and everything else about La Hacienda is just magical. I am leaving absolutely refreshed and recharged, and still wish I didn't have to leave.

Loved how much they help with tours and everything you need. The hostel has such a great vibe aswell if you want to just relax and chill. I would recommend staying here to everyone I tell about going to san gil. All the workers are amazing and go above and beyond. They have little free experiences aswell like tejo, Spanish lessons and football. It honestly is the best place we stayed extra nights because we loved it that much. San gil is the nicest place and this hostel accomodate you in every way possible. The owner is amazing aswell. I needed help with medication and he came to help translate everything. Can’t express on how great this place is

This hostel was the best during my one month stay in Colombia! The location is perfect, it's very green, multiple places to relax within the hostel. All the staff is super helpful, the rooms were clean, and most of all there's a pool. It was wonderful!
