I really liked everything about this hostel. I booked a private room and it was the most comfortable room I’ve stayed in at this price point. It is very well located, only a few minutes walk from the bus station. Check-in was smooth and Beatriz was amazing. She gave me some great information of what to see and do in the city. The hostel is renovated and everything looks brand new and is super clean. The kitchen and dining area are both comfortable and there is free coffee and tea. If I return to Santander I’ll definitely stay at Alojiamentos Cantiber. A big thank you to the staff who were all super kind!

Staff was the star. Antonio was like an old friend. Not speaking Spanish, no problem. He whipped up a Google translator and told us all the tips and information. He ensured that we both were comfortable and happy with everything.

• This is probably one of my most favorite hostels I've ever stayed at. Let's start with the location. It is in an old bus station terminal. The husband and wife own the restaurant in the front and the hostel in the back / on the side. You can enter the Hostel either through the restaurant or around the left side; there is a door where you can enter / check in. I'd go around to the side if the restaurant is full, or, during peak dining times. • Bathrooms were massive! 4 showers, multiple urinals, toilets and sinks in the men's. I read a review that said the hot water didn't work, I found this to be untrue. I used 3 different stalls while I was there and hot water wasn't an issue. It does take 20 to 40 seconds to heat up though. • Bedrooms were all vaulted ceilings, fresh paint, amazing beds, super comfy with a privacy screen / curtain. Each room had air conditioning and functional power outlets. Rooms were cleaned daily by the staff. Each bed has two lockers, one under the bed (massive) and one on the wall (smaller). Both have keys and locks provided by the hostel. • Kitchen and recreation area is a good size and the refrigerators for food storage are quite large (2). Definitely eat at the restaurant when you stay here. Cannot speak highly enough of these amazing people and there establishment.

Everything. From the first to the last minute. The owners are always happy to help. I had a fair idea what to do before I arrived but without the tips from the owner at the breakfast it would have been only the half of the total expereience. Verything was really clean and even we left the room a liitle messy, it was like new when we came back in the afternoon. Decoration is really nice to, you can see that they look into details. Breakfast was really good, best coffee in a hotel/hostel for me so far. If you have extra wishes they are happy to serve that too. I would for sure come back to Piedad, it was a wonderful stay. See you the next time

I wouldn't have done anything different. If you asked what could be improved, I honestly don't know (actually, maybe more games in the common area). But that's it! The bed was wonderful, with plenty of space and privacy, the bathrooms and showers were always clean and functioning well, and very well thought too with space to put your things so that they stay dry. The kitchen was amazing to have, and the system is well put in place. I felt like nothing was missing, and I was more comfortable than ever. The staff was friendly and always open to help when needed or answer a tourist-y question.

I received the warmest welcome in this hostel. The location is perfect, right next to the bus station and walking distance to nearly every important spot in the city. The facilities were clean and I felt safe & comfortable throughout my stay. Though not my first time at a hostel, this was my very first solo trip and staying here made it incredible. I can’t wait to be back! Highly recommended stay. Thank you, most especially, to Angel! You live up to your name!
