Great guest house with really welcoming host. Very clean and tidy place and the bed was very comfortable. Shared bathrooms but kept immaculate and great shower. Fantastic kitchen dinning area with lots of space and free tea and coffee. Lovely living area too and liked the property security used to enter the building and the room.

All the common areas are clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The location is good: it's near the intercity bus stop and the bus to go to the mount. There's cafes and bars all around it so it also makes it perfect for WHV looking for a job in the area

The woman working at reception was exceptionally wonderful, friendly and helpful. I was running behind schedule and was going to be late for my tour at of Hobbiton when I checked in, and she was quick to see that I was a little stressed. She was able to call Hobbiton (as I didn't have a working phone to call) to help reschedule my tour to a later time, and then proceeded to give me a quick run-down of the hostel before I got back on the road for my tour. I am very grateful for her assistance.
