Indira and her father are super kind hosts. Indira even drove me to the bus terminal in Esposende on the day of my departure. The hostel is quite new, located in a quiet area and comprises a garden where you can enjoy the meals. The double room I booked was nice and clean, the bed comfortable. The wonderful sand beach can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. All in all a hostel I can really recommend Hostel do Alto Fao.

The manager and staff were courteous and encouraging and a delight after a long hot walking day. Beers were €1 and chilled in the fridge. Room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Bathroom good too. Breezy garden area to chill while clothes get washed. Best guard dog too in Rina. Special mention to Lita and friend who immediately came to the rescue of a member of the group who was struggling the last 5 km due to a hip problem. One phonecall and they were there like a shot. Kudos Lita and friend.

Highly recommend this hostel for anyone doing the Camino. The hostel is a home from home and fantastic value. Sandra (and Spot) are exceptional hosts! :)

On the Camino route itself Super helpful, friendly staff at reception (Luis, I think is his name) who was very, very patient considering pilgrims kept coming in one after the other, dripping rainwater all over the reception area haha Bed was extremely comfortable with plugs easily accessible Very clean with lots of places to hang raincoats, jackets, etc. Lots of showers and toilets on both the ground and first floor Kitchen was well-equipped, and there was a small supermarket right down the road, along with a couple of pastelarias Only niggle is the dryer was broken when I was there, but the self-service laundry is right around the corner

Newly built in a little tiny house type container, comfy beds. Shampoo and shower gel available, towels provided as well. The kitchen is new and well equipped, fruits, tea and coffee provided for free. Breakfast included was awesome, even oatmilk was available. The host was very nice and the atmosphere is great to relax.

The room was great with a good layout. Beds comfy. Bathrooms were ok, small but ok. The first floor has a very big kitchen with several tables to sit at, a balcony, very nice place to stay if you don't want to be in your room. I would go back.
