Hostels in Nungwi

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hostel! The space is clean, well-maintained, and has a really good vibe. Everyone I met was super friendly, and the owner is both very understanding and extremely responsive. The location is also a big plus you’re less than 5 minutes from the beach! 100% recommend

I loved the ambience and hospitality here. The owner gave us an amazing welcome and the breakfast was also exceptional. The cleanliness in the rooms here was another five Star experience. We loved our stay and will stay again and again.

Nungwis was such a great place to stay. I stayed 3 days and then extended for another 3 days. The location is close to the beach and between the location of two market areas that also have restraunts with great food if you are looking for a bit of a cheaper meal not directly on the beach. I stayed in the dorm which had good size beds that were curtained for privacy and with a/c in the room. The shower was great with good flow and hot water. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and big including omlette chapati fresh juice and fruits, toast with many jams, coffee and tea. There are multiple seating areas which make it nice to chat with others or get time alone. The staff are incredibly friendly and working hard to keep the property clean and to help out in anyway possible- including frequently asking if there's anything needed to let them know. I want to especially thank Mohammed who went out of his way to look for ways to ensure the best experience possible with his great sense of humor and Sarah for the wonderful information about the area.

I had a great stay at Rafiki. Is quiet far from town but it was the best choice for me, to avoid touristic places. 10 mins walking from the hostel, you can fine the most beautiful and isolated beach. The hostel itself is was amazing. I was staying in a private room with private bathroom. Everything was clean and bed was comfy. Great to have a fan for hot days. Its similar to a bungalow so its normal to find geckos in room or flies. The staff was amazing and girls prepared a rich breakfast (included). Being far from town, you can call a driver or you can wait till 6/7 pm and go there with owner Rafiki (for free) and I think that is really a nice service to offer. Suggestion: for lunch, you can buy anything and put it in the fridge in kitchen

A very beautiful place, a special ocean view...to be repeated... Very sympathic staff. The turtles visit nearby was super!
