It’s a bit of a walk from town, but if you go on the back roads from the lake, it is a beautiful walk with good views of the mountain and some nice Japanese houses. The shuttle bus in the morning was useful and I enjoyed the goodbye song. Thank you!!

The dorm was under construction so they let me stay in a private double room and it was a beautiful Japanese style one, with tatami and a Mt Fuji paint. The hostel was in lo-fi style, very cool common aerea with low music. The kitchen was well equipped. The reception was at the beautiful café, vintage style where some days you could have dinner as well. I had some fried potatoes with egg and cheese and it was good. The staff was very friendly and available to give suggestions about places to see and where to eat, and they could speak a good English. The hostel was close to both bus and train station.
