Amazing location, perfect hostel with all necessary facilities provided, professionalism and kindness of the managing staff. All the building was renovated and we had everything we needed to explore the beauties of Greymouth and surroundings. Thank you so much for all!

The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The new owners (Dec 2024) are very hard working. The kitchen has a great work space, fridges,etc. They are working at updating the older building... it used to be a rectory, it is gorgeous. I would definitely stay there again, towels need to be rented.

The pods feature a privacy curtain, a power point and a USB port. I really was positively surprised by this place. It was very cozy the manager was super nice and they had amazing pastries. Also it had a clean kitchen where we cooked. Very recommended.

Situated in Ruatapu, 50 km from Greymouth Railway Station, Lake Mahinapua Hotel has a number of amenities including a garden, a restaurant, a bar and free WiFi. The hostel has a hot tub and evening entertainment. The accommodation was so thoroughly cleaned, the bed was really comfortable, there was a table to eat - I did not miss a thing. But mostly, the staff was so incredibly kind and hospitable. When I arrived at Lake Mahinapua, I had caught quite a bad fever and they did absolutely everything to make sure I was looked after (from giving me a room on a more quiet side of the complex, to making sure I had eaten, et cetera). Words cannot express how much I did appreciate that as a solo traveller.
