Location, facilities, location. On first arrival it appears you are driving into a regular street on a regular road. The property is on the edge of the forest and you completely feel immersed in raintrees.

Company info

Chris and I live on site and are keen gardeners, avid bird watchers and love all things in nature. We love diving and have dived on most of the reefs off Port Douglas. We can help you organise your time in the area with loads of info on what to do whilst staying. How we look at life: We love to share our home with travellers from all over the world. We try to do what we can to keep our environment healthy. We do have air-conditioning in the bedrooms and we ask you to use them wisely. We don't change your towels every day and we do not iron your linen. We have water saving devices in our bathrooms and line dry our laundry when ever possible. We recycle what we can and ask you to do the same whilst staying with us. We use off peak power and energy efficient lighting. We try to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible. We have solar power and try not to waste our power.

So much to do

Neighborhood info

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: To get the best out of our area guests will need a car whilst staying with us. Public transport in a rural area is nothing like it's big city cousin with limited services available. We are just minutes away from Mossman gorge national park and it's amazing swimming holes and beautiful rainforest walks. Mossman township is just a short drive away, while Port Douglas with its marina and reef cruises departure point, cafes, shops and beautiful beach is a 20 minute drive away. Cape Tribulation is a scenic one hour away as are the northern beaches of Cairns. We are well placed to visit the iconic reef and rainforest destinations of the Douglas shire. Suggested tours - Solar Whisper for a cruise on the Daintree river, Calypso for a day trip to the Barrier Reef, Mossman Gorge centre for a guided or unguided walk through the rainforest. Bird watching on the Daintree with Daintree boatman or a guided day trip with Fine Feather tours. Mossman has small selection of cafes and restaurants and a large supermarket as well as banks and post office.
