The George at Yering is located on the grounds of Yering Farm Wines, a small, family owned and operated winery in the heart of the Yarra Valley, run by the Johns family. Yering Farm produces small batches of wines and cider, using only the fruit that is grown onsite. Depending on the time of year you visit, you may be able to see the grapes on the vines and the apples and pears dangling from the trees in the orchard. Visit the rustic Cellar Door for a wine tasting, which is within walking distance of The George! During your stay you may also see our 'lawnmowers', a flock of sheep and a couple of alpacas, munching their way through the orchard grass.

Property information

The George at Yering is a luxurious self contained farmhouse located on the grounds of Yering Farm Wines in the heart of the Yarra Valley. Set amongst 70 acres of orchard and 30 acres of vineyard the homestead offers a spacious retreat inviting guests to relax and unwind all year round. The George features a large open plan living and dining area, with vaulted ceiling of exposed timber beams, stunning stained glass windows rescued from grandmas original home, and open fire place. With plenty of rooms to spread out and relax, enjoy the library room, formal dining room with feature fireplace and TV room. Choose from six separate bedrooms on ground level, or head upstairs to the grand master suite with reading area, king sleigh bed, ensuite bathroom with spa bath and sweeping views. Outside, the wrap-around decking and surrounding gardens gives stunning views in all directions. There is an outdoor dining area with BBQ facilities, as well as an inground solar heated saltwater pool and heated spa.

Located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, The George is a wonderful base for all that this magical region has to offer. Wineries, restaurants, breweries, gin distilleries, Yarra Valley Dairy, Yarra Valley Chocolatery, Healesville Sanctuary, and much much more are all within reach from The George! The townships of Yarra Glen and Healesville are a stones-throw away, great spots to explore.
