Company information

In 2015 we bought this beautiful old farmstead in the countryside, surrounded by lots of green and flowers. We are located in the heart of the fruitregion, though are also close to the cities of Hasselt, Sint-Truiden, Tongeren and Genk. We came up with its name 'Het Hemelsveld' ('the celestial field') rather quickly: in addition to the reference to a historic area of Alken, it also refers to the feeling the farm and green garden evokes with us. From our own travel experiences, we want to offer you a 'home away from home'. A guesthouse with the feeling of a bed & breakfast. The three appartments are fully equipped. On request we provide a nice breakfast at the door. At our place, almost nothing is mandatory and almost everything is possible. We are looking forward to welcome you at our celestial field! Property information

Our four spatious guesthouses are located in renovated parts of the the original farmstead: the former hayloft, barns and horsestables. The rooms all have references to the history of the farm, going back more than 90 years. The four appartments have a fully equipped kitchen (incl. oven/microwave, ...), seperate bedrooms, airconditioning and bathrooms with walk-in rainshowers. Three guesthouses can accomodate up to six people and the fourth one up to four, which makes that you can stay with us with up to 22 people in total. Our guesthouses are perfect for a family vacation with the kids, a couple of days out with friends or even a bigger family gathering. All accomodations have a private parking space and private entrance. Enjoy our beautiful green and quiet garden and relax in our infrared sauna. Breakfast is optional and will be delivered at your door in a picnic basket.

Neighbourhood information

Stay in a Haspengouwse farmstead and enjoy the green surroundings. In this belgian fruitregion, a lot of pears and apples are grown. Alken is the perfect base to explore the fields of blossoms (and later fruit) by bike or on foot. Visit the relics of the ancient city of Sint-Truiden or our shoppingcity Hasselt. Discover Flemish Limburg, hire a Vespa & enjoy our Limburg gastronomy in the evenings!
