Stay in a sustainably renovated vacation home that is part of an authentic Flemish farmstead. Located between the fields, yet well accessible and only 5 km from the market of Oudenaarde, In 't Wiel is the ideal place for those seeking peace and quiet or just a sporting challenge. Also those who love history and culture will undoubtedly find what they are looking for! The ecological vacation home has a total area of 60 m² and can accommodate up to 6 people. The vacation unit is part of an elongated farmhouse that dates back to the post-war period. The part of the house where the stables used to be, served the first year as a bedroom for our eldest children, but was thoroughly and sustainably renovated into a fully-fledged vacation accommodation. The vacation home and the private home are separate and each has its own entrance. The spacious front garden, entirely at the guests' disposal, was redesigned with particular attention to the privacy of our guests. The south-facing private terrace is the perfect place to catch your breath over an apéro or BBQ after an enjoyable trip. During the renovation and decoration we paid a lot of attention to sustainability, comfort and quality. The solar panels, heat pump and cistern provide all the necessary comfort without placing any additional burden on nature. There is underfloor heating over the entire surface and an automatic ventilation system has been installed. The vacation house is non-smoking. Pets are welcome. Some facilities: - bed linen and towels are included in de price - free parking (for 2 cars) at the house - garage where bicycles can be stored safely and dry - material to clean bikes
As an active and enthusiastic family, we love to travel ourselves. We love sociability, laughter, nature and adventure, and already seek a challenge from time to time. The "Flemish Ardennes" region is located in the south of the province of East Flanders and is especially known for its hilly landscape, beautiful nature, charming villages near the language border and the many opportunities for sporting, cultural and gastronomic excursions. In 't Wiel is easily accessible via the motorway and then the N60 towards Ronse. The central location between Ghent and Ronse offers many possibilities.
