Surrounded by rolling hills, dense beech forests and vineyards, the region offers everything that makes the heart of nature and peace seekers beat faster: 🌳 Experience hiking & nature: Numerous hiking trails start right on the doorstep - for example the popular Steigerwald Panorama Trail. We particularly recommend a tour to the Stollburg ruins, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view. 🍷 Wine & enjoyment: The region is known for its Franconian wine. Around Handthal, you will find many cosy wineries and wine taverns where you can sample regional specialties and fine wines. 🌲 Steigerwald-Zentrum: Just a few minutes away is the modern Steigerwald-Zentrum in Handthal - an exciting visitor center dedicated to the forest, sustainability and regional culture. Also ideal for families. 🚴‍♂️ Cycling & relaxing: Whether sporty on a mountain bike or leisurely on an e-bike - well-developed paths lead through forests, fields and vineyards. The special tranquillity and originality of the landscape make Handthal a real retreat. Whether over a glass of wine on the terrace or on a walk through the vineyards - it's a wonderful place to switch off I wish you a relaxing time, many wonderful impressions and unforgettable moments in the Steigerwald.
