I am a visual artist who has lived in Berlin for 16 years. I enjoy making art, visiting galleries, museums, good design and good food. Situated on a very quiet street that is closed to traffic on one end, the apartment is a relaxing oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the German capital where you’ll hear more birds than cars. The Neukölln Arkaden shopping center is right around the corner and, alongside a movie theater, two grocery stores and a variety of shops, it also features a gorgeous public library as well as Klunkerkranich, a rooftop bar, club and cultural event venue with breathtaking views over Berlin. It is a five-minute walk to Volkspark Hasenheide, a large public park with an outdoor movie theater in the summers, zoo, beer garden, rose garden, playgrounds and more. Tempelhofer Feld, the former central airport which has been transformed into Berlin’s largest park, is a ten-minute walk away. The entire neighborhood is full of a wide variety of restaurants, music venues, bars, clubs – there’s something here for everyone, including the Kindl Center for Contemporary Art.
