Beautiful fishing village, quiet and quaint, and very safe. Famous for its beaches, including Los Lagos, lagoon-style beaches with still water that are perfect for bathing and for the kids; and Piedra Playa, a wilder beach just south of the village flanked by cliffs and known as a great surf, kitesurf, and windsurf spot. Plenty of quality restaurants and bars with a friendly, laidback vibe (often featuring live music), café overlooking the sea, yummy bakeries, lovely little shops, one big supermarket and some smaller grocery stores - in short, everything you need just a step away. Everything is within close walking distance. If you want to visit the rest of the island, it's easy and cheap to rent a car. Or you can use the local bus service, which is very reliable and comfortable and runs frequently. There is a bus stop just outside the flat.
