Company information

We set up Artists’ Cottages in 2017. We are a married couple with grown up children and grand children. Our daughter Joanna also works in the business. We have spent our lives travelling because we love meeting new people and gathering ideas all of which is reflected in our cottages. Hospitality was an obvious choice when we came to decide our careers. We are passionate about giving our guests a place where they can relax, unwind and leave the world behind. We hope you will enjoy our style and maybe even take some of our ideas and use them in your own home. We employ local people, companies and trades people. More than anything else we want you to enjoy your stay, with that in mind we are on hand 24/7 so let us know what we can do to make your stay memorable - you can bespoke your stay.

Property information

As a family business we personally meet and greet our guests. Our aim is to take away stress. Give you an easy start to your stay - so we leave out a tray with biscuits, cups and tea pot and fresh coffee. We leave supplies of Yorkshire tea bags, some coffee capsules for the Nespresso coffee machine and fresh milk in the fridge. We put in special touches to make you feel immediately at home. Our style is English Country House meets Cottage. All our furniture, fittings and fixtures are chosen for comfort, ease of use and functionality. Our colours are mediterranean - cheerful and relaxing. Our beds are bespoke, guests remark on the comfort and great nights sleep. Our kitchens are amazing! Designed for cooks and those with special dietary needs. All our properties have log burning stoves, free unrestricted secure wifi and free unrestricted parking. We live nearby and come from the area so we can help with places to eat, places to visit and easy ways into town.

Neighbourhood information

The neighbours are a friendly bunch and they love our guests. They will be looking out for you, so please continue to be mindful of them. The cottages are in quiet residential streets close to the town centre.
