The hotel is located about 30 minutes away from Stirling. It is very remote but quite beautiful. You need a car to access the property. There is a small garden but it was raining the whole time we were there so we couldn't use it. The breakfast...

B&B Drum Farm is set in our 300 year old Farm House where we have tried to keep as many of the sandstone feature walls present as we could, I try to make the place as comfortable as possible and a lot of guests see it as a home from home. We are situated in the middle of nowhere in the beautiful countryside of Carron Valley, we have stunning views of the Carron Valley Reservoir and the Duncarron Fort. Here you will be able to switch of from the world and relax. Whether your looking for a couple of nights away in the quiet or just passing through here you will be guaranteed a good nights rest so your fit for your travels the next day. Please note that there are no restaurants or pubs within walking distance we do however have take away services that deliver and you can always bring a bottle of wine or a few beers to enjoy in the garden. We are in the middle of the countyside, there is no public transport apart from taxis so a car is required to get here and if you want to go into town it is an 8 mile drive there. Please consider this when booking.
I have been running the B&B for the past 12 years with my 2 kids and doggy on tow, my mum ran the B&B before then since 1993 so i have grown up in the B&B environment, I love meeting new people from all over the world and hearing their travel stories. When you arrive with us you will be welcomed by me and very likely Milo our Dog, he is very friendly and loves to welcome new guests. If you have kids don't expect to see them much as my kids usually take them out to play on the many kids toys we have available and the parents are happy that the kids are out and about playing in a safe environment as the house is a quarter mile from the main road surrounded by fields the kids are very safe to play.
In the local area we have the Carron Valley Reservoir which is open for fishing, you can hire boats and equipment from the fishery and they are only 1 mile down the road from us. there is also the Clanranolds Duncarron Fort which is open most weekends for tours and viewings. At the reservoir itself we also have lots of walk ways round the reservoir or the woodland round about and cycle tours. There are also loads of nice walks and water falls to explore. Not far from us in with car you can head to Stirling where you will find the Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument with around 8 miles from the property. If you fancy heading to Falkirk to check out the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies or the weekly car boot sale they are only 10 miles away from us. we are very central so everywhere is easy to get to from us, we also have Kilsyth and Glasgow over the Hill and Loch Lomond is only 35 miles drive away too.
