Glas Eilean View is a lovely lochside 2 bedroom house in the beautiful village of Dornie with stunning sea views over Loch Long to the Cullins of Skye and the wildlife on the shore including oyster catchers, otters & herons. It is less than a 5 minute walk from the world-famous Eilean Donan Castle, the most photographed castle in Scotland, if not the world! With the Skye bridge nearby, it really is a perfect base to explore the stunning Isle of Skye & Lochalsh.
Hi, I’m Josie and live in Dornie with my husband who was born and brought up in the village. In 2020, we completely refurbished our previous family home in Dornie & we’re delighted to offer it for rental to share this pretty little loch side village with our guests. We live just a 5 minute drive from the house so can be on hand if you need anything. We know pretty much every corner of Skye & Lochalsh and love welcoming our guests & sharing our tips to make their visit to the area as enjoyable as possible. The house is self check in but we live just a 5 minute drive away so can be available to meet our guests and give advice on the area and anything else we can help you with. We want Glas Eilean View to be your home from home so anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable then please just ask.
Dornie is a very pretty Loch side village, home of Scotlands iconic Eilean Donan Castle which is accessible on foot from the house. There is also a cosy pub & hotel both serving great meals and we have a soon to be completed, community shop. Just a 10 minute drive from the Isle of Skye bridge, it is a fantastic base to explore both Skye and Lochalsh away from the hustle and bustle of the island.
