A quiet rural retreat in the picturesque East Sussex village of East Hoathly. Yet only 2 minutes walk to the local pub. This stunning 2 bed, 2 bath self catering holiday cottage is newly renovated to a very high standard. It's modern, light & airy space opens out to a private patio garden Hesmonds Oast Lodge is situated at one end of the owners' iconic Oast House, parts of which date back to the late 18th century. The Lodge is tucked away - private and totally self contained. It has a modern, luxurious yet comfy interior. The accommodation has a lovely sunny open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is modern, well equipped and fitted with high quality appliances. The lounge looks out through fully glazed french doors which open out to its very own large patio garden. Perfect for entertaining, the garden gets the afternoon and evening sun, with stunning sunsets as the lodge is west facing. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite shower room. The twin room has two full size single beds and an en suite bathroom. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space to hang clothes or tuck away suitcases. This is a fantastic base from which to explore Sussex.
This two bedroom Lodge is perfect for a family or for two couples sharing. It's just a short 3 minute walk from the center of the village. East Loathly has a great pub and a lovely gift shop / cafe. Both of which serve fantastic food should you wish to eat out or mingle with the friendly locals. The village also has its own shop and post office plus other small businesses including a busy hairdressers. Situated only 30 minutes drive inland from Brighton and Eastbourne, 50 minutes drive from Gatwick Airport, 15 minutes from the historic town of Lewes and 10 minutes from the famous Glyndebourne opera house. Although we do recommend you have a car to explore Sussex, the village is well served by an hourly bus route to Eastbourne and Uckfield with connecting train services to London. From Uckfield station, London Bridge is just over an hour away by train.
