One of the most appealing aspects of Scarborough is its beautiful beaches. There’s North Bay and South Bay at Scarborough, and both are extremely popular with visitors young and old, thanks to the golden sands, and sheltered location. From sunbathing and swimming to surfing and paddleboarding, there is something for everyone here. On any day, they are great fun; on a sunny day, there’s nowhere better! Additionally, the town is home to a variety of attractions, including the historic Scarborough Castle, the Scarborough Spa, and the Stephen Joseph Theatre. Conveniently, Sanderling Chase is a relatively short drive to the Scarborough Open Air Theatre or you can walk in under 30 minutes. Alternatively, a shuttle bus service goes every 15 mins from Scarborough Railway Station (10 minute walk from Sanderling Chase) to the Open-Air Theatre on event days from 5-7pm and back to the Railway Station between 10-11pm. For outdoor enthusiasts, we are very close to the start of the popular Cinder Track, which provides excellent walking and cycling opportunities between Scarborough and Whitby, passing through Scalby, Robin Hood’s Bay, and other picturesque spots.
