Set amongst the hills and woodlands surrounding Loch Lomond, Lomond Woods Holiday Park is situated in the picturesque village of Balloch, 20 miles north of Glasgow city centre. Guests can take part in ranger-led walks in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National park, or enjoy water sports, cycling and fishing in the local area. A choice of caravans and lodges are available at Lomond Woods and all feature a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom and a dining area. A children’s playground and games room with table tennis and pool are available on site, as well as free parking. Golf courses at Cameron House and Buchannan castle are open to the public and both can be reached within a 15-minute drive. Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium is a 5-minute drive away.

Lomond Shores with it's great range of shops, cafes, farmers and craft markets is a short walk from the park, with Sealife and Birds of prey centres there is something for all the family here. Balloch itself is also close by, where you can enjoy the Country Park, several great places to eat and drink or a short cruise up the beautiful loch.

Neighbourhood information

The park lies 100 yards from the first (or last !) section of the John Muir Way, this can be easily completed in an afternoon reaching the seaside town of Helensburgh, where you can treat yourself to a drink or an ice cream before catching the train back. Or perhaps a cycle along the west side of the loch to the picturesque village of Luss, or as far as Tarbet if you are feeling energetic.

The property cannot accommodate hen/stag groups, or similar parties.

Please note, the lead guest must be at least 25 years of age. We are a family holiday park and may contact groups who do not appear to be family groups and in some cases these bookings may be cancelled.

Gazebos, jet skis and boats are not permitted on the premises.

Please note, the latest check-in time is 20:00. Late check-ins cannot be permitted.

Commercial vehicles are not permitted at the property. Reception staff can advise on where these can be parked.

Pets are subject to an additional charge, please contact the property for charges. A maximum of 2 pets per accommodation can be accepted.

Smoking is not permitted at the property. Guests found violating this rule will be charged GBP 50 for cleaning costs.

Guests who have booked a camping pod are reminded to bring their own camping equipment.

WiFi is provided in the park, however it cannot be guaranteed it in every unit and WiFi signal may be weak.

Cots may not fit in the bedrooms

A £2 charitable donation will automatically be added to your booing, this is to rebalance your carbon footprint. Two tree will be planted which is the equivalent to 365 miles in an average family car. If you wish this to be removed from your booking, please contact us within an hour of making your booking.

We require that the lead guest be at least 25 years old, and that most members of the group are also over the age of 25.

As we are a family-oriented holiday park, we may reach out if your booking does not appear to be from a family group. In some cases, this could result in cancellation.

This property is unable to accommodate hen or stag parties, or similar group celebrations.

Pets are welcome for an additional charge of £5 per pet, per night. Each accommodation can host up to 3 pets. If you plan to bring pets, please let us know during the booking process.

Please be aware that check-in is available until 20:00. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate arrivals after this time.

Please be advised that cots may not be suitable for placement within the bedrooms and may need to be positioned in the living area instead.
