Clean, convenient, comfortable and generous all in the premium and nice area of Bare. Our holiday home sleeps up to 8. 3 floors have 3 spacious bedrooms and 4 large comfortable beds (+ sofa bed in dining room). No single beds. 2 bathrooms powerful hot water from combi boiler. Walk-in shower soaking rainforest / stinging jets hand held; shower over bath. 2 WC ground and first floor. The lounge has a wood stove, the dining room opens to an enclosed garden, The drive parking is for 2 medium cars and there's complimentary off-peak EV charging. The house is very well maintained. A large Sainsburys & fish & chip shop are across the main road (40 metres). The beach is 0.8 mile. Train station 1 mile. 30 miles Lake District & Windermere. The lounge seats 4, the dining room will seat 8. There is a fully equipped kitchen & utility room. BEDROOMS Comfortable beds, professional pillows, Richard Howarth 100% cotton bed linen, towels, pocket sprung Hypnos mattresses. Linen and towels (60C washed), pillowcases ironed. Additional blankets, pillows, towels. 1 - Super-King - mahogany 4-poster, pocket sprung mattress, memory foam topper, TV 2. King Size - mahogany sleigh bed, Hypnos mattress, TV 3 - King and Double beds, second floor, Hypnos mattresses, TV Dbl sofa bed in dining room, bedding in Bedroom 2 wardrobe. Bedrooms have 43" Smart TVs - complimentary Netflix, Prime, BBC, ITV, C4, YouTube, Internet. Fast 40Mb/s wifi. LOUNGE A moderate size, leather seating for 4, wood stove, large smart TV. Professional soundproofing. DINING ROOM The large dining room is soundproofed, solid modern oak table & seats 8 - 2 chairs, 2 benches, plus a radio. Professional soundproofing on party-wall adds privacy & comfort. A privacy-safe Minut anti-party device on dining room ceiling alerts to default “Loud Party” levels, please moderate if it beeps.
We provide an great honest stay and appreciate similar. We are low-key hosts who have travelled extensively and were Local Authority foster carers for 4 years. We live 5 minutes away and are happy to help if needed. To contact us overnight, call twice to wake the phone. Our other roles and interests include NHS management, sewing and beekeeping. We love the Morecambe Bay area, especially the Prom, beaches, sunsets and views to the Lake District and local parks. The house has authorised privacy-safe anti-party devices to ensure house and guest safety.
LOCALITY Premium area of Bare, built in the 1930s as a nice, settled, residential area with parks, broad roads and large gardens. The locality is characterised by closeness to nature and the Promenade. Private driveway & easy street parking is standard. There are many local shops and venues locally. Oner the main road (40 metres), is a large Sainsbury's supermarket, an Atkinson's Fish and Chip shop and at roundabout a Toby Carvery. Torrisholme and Bare are the nearest centres and were the incorporated villages that formed Morecambe. Torrisholme has a Spar, two pubs, bar, barbers, takeaway; and Princess Crescent in Bare with micro pub Little Bare, wine bar Shackletons, Post office, butchers, bakers and two cafes. Morecambe town centre, the Promenade and sea are a mile away, as is the acclaimed Happy Mount Park in Bare, which has brass bands in summer, adventure parks, train ride and a cafe. At the far end of Lathom Ave is up-market Broadway, which runs over the train line bridge to the seafront Promenade. This is a lovely walk in the evening.
