Property info

The Mains of Orton was built in 1854. This classic Scottish Highlands farmhouse affords stylish accommodation for up to twelve guests in beautifully furnished surrounds. The Mains of Orton boasts six sizeable bedrooms, each with its own unique character, a large family lounge with open fireplace, a well appointed farmhouse kitchen and a grand dining room which, like all the rooms in the house, retain many of its original features. The Mains of Orton is the perfect venue for larger parties looking for a little old fashioned luxury amidst the idyllic splendour of the Spey valley.

Neighborhood info

The property is set within an idyllic private countryside setting in the heart of the Moray Speyside Whisky Trail. A short drive away there are many whisky distilleries including Glenrothes, Macallan, Aberlour, BenRiach and Glenfiddoch to name a few. If Whisky isn't your choice, there are stunning beaches that offer wonderful views across the Moray Firth to the Black Isle and beyond. There are opportunities to try out surfing, sailing, paddle boarding and even dolphin watching. Elgin is only 8 miles away and provides everything guests could want including award winning Johnstone's of Elgin, famous for it's cashmere and knitwear, Walkers Shortbread, a host of boutique independent shops, a cinema, bowling alley, soft play, supermarkets and much more.
