Our holiday home is located on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Trelights. The garden borders the fields of our family farm and we're just a five-minute drive, or a lovely walk down to beautiful Port Quin. Here the children can enjoy rock-pooling; it's perfect for swimming or you can even go on a guided kayak trip - my brother runs tours, so I can put you in touch. A 10 min drive (or 20-30 min walk) will bring you to Port Isaac, famed for Doc Martin and the Fisherman's Friends. Here you will find plenty of caf�s, restaurants, and our local pub. Just one mile up the lane is Trevathan farm shop and caf�, with play area, farm animals, and pick your own strawberries. The caf� is renowned for its amazing cakes. Local beaches include Polzeath, Daymer, Port Gaverne, and Rock and are all within a 10-15 minute drive. A lovely day trip is to park in Rock and catch the ferry from the beach over to Padstow. Or for the more energetic, park in Wadebridge and cycle along the Camel Trail to Padstow. It's 5.5 miles each way and is completely flat. Bikes are available to hire in Wadebridge. We have a lockable outdoor shed where bikes can be stored if you're a keen cyclist.
