About this property

A haven of peace and tranquillity, this traditional English country house lies in a unique rural setting, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a 60 acre lake, yet only 12 miles from historic Chester. Set within a grand Victorian mansion, the hotel features 28 bedrooms and 8 suites, most of which enjoy spectacular views over the lakes and gardens. All rooms are beautifully appointed and individually designed, many with antique furnishings, Persian rugs and lots of extra touches to give that home-from-home feeling. The area plays host to a wide variety of activities, from shopping and sightseeing in nearby Chester, to motor racing at the nearby Oulton Park Racing Circuit, or country pursuits such as clay pigeon and laser shooting, archery and golf. For the more adventurous, hot air ballooning and off-road racing are also available nearby.
