The Old Castle Inn is a large converted pub with quirky and gothic features. It has 5 bedrooms (two with 4 poster king sized), and 2 extra single beds on a large landing area. There are 4 seating areas, including a library/music room, a large kitchen diner, and conservatory overlooking a good sized part-walled garden. The Inn has are two working wood burning stoves. We appreciate that CV19 has changed holiday planning. While we have a strict cancellation policy, if government guidelines prevent travel at the time of your stay, we will issue a full refund (minus any fee charged by B.Com website)
We used to live at the Old Castle Inn, and have very happy memories of the house and village We work in the NHS and when we moved south we were unable to sell, so have become accidental holiday rental business owners. We appreciate that CV19 has changed holiday planning. While we have a strict cancellation policy, if government guidelines prevent travel at the time of your stay, we will issue a full refund (minus any fee charged by B.Com website)
On the edge of the Peak District, Alton is a beautiful village with many lovely walks on the doorstep. It has 5 pubs, most of which offer excellent food and welcome dogs. There is a post office and late night mini supermarket. The Inn is less than 5 minutes away from Alton Towers, but you can not see or hear the theme park from the village.
