A 17th Century Coaching Inn, situated on the A619, a main artery through the popular market town of Bakewell. The pub has a central bar servery, a raised 30 seater restaurant, a lower lounge area, We offer our guests a choice of five en-suite double bedrooms. We do not have car parking facilities please use one of the many long stay carparks in the area the closest being the Bakewell agricultural Center. Free WiFi available.

Bakewell is a small town known to be established during the Anglo Saxon era. The name of the town Bakewell, derives from the term 'Badeca's Well'. During the Anglo Saxon times, Bakewell was in the Anglian kingdom of Mercia. The church in Bakewell is also mentioned in the Doomsday book and during the Norman era, the town was of great importance. A market town was created in 1254 and Bakewell gradually became a trading centre.
