Llanberis is more than just a starting point for a mountain walk, it is a village surrounded by stunning scenery, ancient castles and mountain lakes (the famed twin lakes of Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris) full of glacial melt water. It is also the acclaimed adventure capital of North Wales. The village itself is a thriving, bustling, hive of activity. Pubs, cafes, and a multitude of shops are all seconds from the house. The stunning Lake Padarn is just a 3min walk from the house where you can enjoy a number of water sports and wild swimming. Just 8 miles from Llanberis is the royal town of Caernarfon, home to the magnificent Caernarfon Castle and town walls.
