The Mowhay is a small cottage set up high on our farm, with direct access to beautiful hillside walks and the famous mining trail. The views are amazing with the sea in the distance. Both North and South coast visible at the top, where the is a small lake for a bit of wild swimming. Or enjoy the Scandinavian eco hot tub under the stars in the evening, [availability depending] If it’s peace and quiet or to just be central in Cornwall it’s ideal, you could tour over 200 beaches or visit many villages and fishing harbours with incredible restaurants and cafes. Or walk the beautiful coastline with the turquoise waters and orange sunsets!
I live on site with my family, and available most times unless walking the dogs or swimming, my husband Geoff is often on hand for an evening preparation of the hot tub, unless busy with farm duties etc. It’s a small holding with sheep/pigs/chickens here most of the time. Lots of cats and two dogs, all of which are friendly.
We are based up an unmade track, for very low vehicles we have separate parking on the farm with direct access also. We are on a peaceful hillside, with a town a couple of miles walk away with a train station, there are small shops in the local village, if you don’t mind a leisurely walk back up the hill. Escape the streetlights, and noise pollution this is a great place to relax! Everything is a drive away under an hour in Cornwall from the Eden project to St Ives, The Lizard peninsular. We are happy to advise once you are here!
