The Retreat @ The Old Smithy is located perfectly for Gaia Spa @ Boringdon, Dartmor & with Plymouth city centre only 10 minutes away. The Retreat is a quirky and spacious home-from-home and we welcome guests to come and enjoy our corner of the world. There are three bedrooms, a living/dining room, a breakfasting kitchen and two bathrooms. There is off road parking for one car (with plenty more free parking in the area) and a small garden area for guests to enjoy.
The Retreat is a perfect base for visiting the historic ocean city of Plymouth and for touring Devon and Cornwall. It is very close to several wedding venues including: St Elizabeth's House, Boringdon Hall Hotel, Boringdon Golf Club, Elfordleigh Hotel and Country Club, Saltram House, Hareston Manor, Dartmoor Zoo (from the book/film 'We Bought a Zoo"!), Moorland Hotel and Welbeck Manor. There is lots to see and do nearby:- Golf: Boringdon, Elfordleigh and Sparkwell National Trust: Saltram, Plymbridge, Dewerstone, Wembury Beach (7m) Dartmoor Zoo, Becky Falls, Pixies Holt, Dartmoor Prison Museum. For rainy days, there is a large public pool within walking distance, Plymouth Ski and Snowboard Centre, The acclaimed National Maritime Aquarium and the new museum and art gallery, The Box. We are really lucky to have Theatre Royal Plymouth on our doorstep which stages the best of the West End's productions. There is off road parking for one car at the property and plenty of on road parking close by. Regular bus services into Plymouth centre where there is a mainline railways station. There are numerous taxi services in the area.
