This is a beautiful, peaceful cottage with stunning views to Uig Bay. It is the perfect spot for exploring Skye and is convenient for the ferry to the Western Isles too. Local highlights include the mystical Fairy Glen and the Rha waterfall. The property is just a short drive from the magnificent Quirang and the rest of the Trotternish Ridge. It's close to bars, restaurants and the best wee shop on Skye. It's a gem!
I was born and brought up in the village and, after spending time away, returned to bring up my family. They are mostly grown up now but I still live here with my wife, my youngest daughter, two Norwegian Forest cats and a sausage dog called Peigi.
Uig really is the perfect base for exploring Skye. We have managed to retain a local feel in the village while being very welcoming to visitors. Everything in the Island is accessible from Uig and we have the added advantage of being convenient for further exploring the Western isles.
