Built in 1865, Lynwood is a traditional Victorian Lakeland guest house. Relax in our elegant Victorian house in the heart of Windermere With stylish, comfortable and affordable guest accommodation, Lynwood is the perfect place to stay in Windermere, situated in a quiet street and yet only a stones throw from the shops, bars and restaurants in Windermere, and a few short minutes from the bus and train station. Our accommodation comprises of two double bedrooms, a triple room, and two flexible rooms that can be used as doubles, twins or multi occupancy rooms. There is a minimum of three nights stay over bank holidays. We're open throughout the seasons and welcome to guests from all over the World.

Lynwood is conveniently located at the end of a quiet residential street and is a short walk from the centre of Windermere village, and close to all the shops, chemist, café bars and restaurants. The bus and train station are just a few minutes walk away, so we're the perfect base for your day trips to all locations around the Lake District. Windermere is the largest natural lake in England, enjoy a relaxed voyage on the steamboat and the spectacular views of mountain scenery, secluded bays and the many wooded islands for a perfect day out. A short distance away you can also learn more about the story of Beatrix Potter’s life,The World of Beatrix Potter is a themed attraction set in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere, complete with the sights of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck and friends. A bus ride will take you to Grasmere where William Wordsworth one of Britain’s most famous poets, whose thoughts and writing about man, nature and society was profoundly inspired.
