Katafygio is an idyllic holiday hideaway nestled in the hills of Skiathos, with sea and mountain views. Immersed in nature and close to many of the island's hiking trails, Katafygio allows you to relax, unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of rural island life. The house itself is finished to a high standard in a fusion of traditional and contemporary styles. With not one but two outside seating areas both with amazing views, you won't want to be indoors but if you are you'll find it quaint, charming, comfortable and romantic. As we are situated up in the hills car hire is essential .
We look forward to meeting all our guests personally - either meeting them at the airport or on arrival at the house. We will make sure that our guests are given all the information they need to enjoy their holiday , including the best beaches to visit, nearest shops and restaurants and places of interest. Our knowledge of the Island is excellent and we love to share this with our guests so that they can make the most of their stay. Our own home is a short distance away from the holiday home ( 30m) so we are on hand to assist with any queries.However, the 2 houses are completely separate and the holiday home has it's own entrance and courtyard and is therefore totally private.
Katafygio is within walking distance of 2 excellent restaurants and the Parissis winery. The famous monastery is also very close by. There are numerous marked hiking trails to explore the beautiful mountain scenery, with the highest peaks only 25 minutes walk away. The centre of Skiathos town is a 7 minute drive from the holiday home and this is where you will find the old and new port, shopping street and musuem. The town is full of delicious cafes and restaurants, where you can just sit, relax and watch the boats in the harbour. For those guests who enjoy a lively nightlife, there are plenty of bars with live music in the evening.
