Our newly built villa in the settlement of Sfakos,in the village of Kakodiki,is 65km from Chania,5km from the historic village of Kandanos and 10km from the seaside town of Paleochora,which is one of the most important summer resorts, 72km from the city of Chania. Our village is a particularly beautiful village that has more water sources than any other part of Crete. It is built at the mouth of the Kakodikianos river which is one of the most important rivers in Crete. In the green village of Kantanos,you will find quality taverns like Mesostrato,Platia and Platanoswhere you can enjoy your lunch or even have delivery.You will also find a pastry shop and bakery, butcher's shop,pharmacy,mini markets,petrol station,ATM and Health Centre.You will find the opportunity to visit the gorge of Kantanos with its stone road suitable for hiking and cycling for the ones who love it. In the nearby village of Temenia, there is the homonymous tavern with quality, delicious food. On the other hand, the picturesque streets of Paleochora are convenient for a walk,either to the Venetian fortress of Fortezza with its coastal pedestrian walkway,or to the cycle path and the beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters that are ideal for all kinds of water activities. In its narrow streets there are taverns with traditional cuisine and fresh fish. Palaiochora has everything you may need supermarkets,petrol stations,fishshops,taverns, restaurants,fast food,cafes and bars. Its is a favorite seaside town for both residents and visitors. There are daily excursions to ancient Lissos,the Samaria Gorge, the popular churches with Byzantine icons.There are several hiking trails such as the European paths E4 & E1 . Nearby,boat trips are available to Sougia,Ag. Roumeli,Loutro and Elafonissi. Finally, near us there are many beaches that will reward you with a visit to them such as Pachia Ammos, Gialiskari, Psilos Volakas,Grammeno, Krios etc.
