Handan götunnar er verslun sem selur mat og hægt er að fá pitsur, pylsur og þess háttar. Örskammt frá í sömu götu er frægasta sundlaug á Íslandi, útsýni yfir Skagafjörðinn. Veitingastaður er einnig í sömu götu í göngufæri, mjög notalegur niðri við sjóinn, bara opið á sumrin. Vesturfarasetrið er einnig niðri við sjóinn mjög vinsælt bæði af íslendingum og útlendingum. Opið júní til ágúst Leiksvæði er við skólann sem er einnig í göngufæri. .Sjómannadagurinn er alltaf fyrsti sunnud í júní mikið um dýrðir og kaffisala á eftir í Félagsheimilinu Höfðaborg. Bæjarhátíð í þorpinu síðustu helgi í júní . In town you will find a gorgeous public pool, fascinating history museum, and a delicious restaurant (open seasonally).
