Thirty years ago after obtaining my degree in the UK, I came to Florence, fell in love with the City and decided to make it my home. I'm a designer in the fashion field so being in Florence is a constant source of inspiration, even after so many years. Both my children are now grown up and away from home so I have great pleasure in sharing my lovely home, situated away from the hustle and bustle of the City, with guests from around the world. My home is a renovated part of a 17th century villa on the hilltop of a very charming mediaeval town in the Castle area of Signa, only 12 km. away from Florence. In the past Signa was world renowned for the manufacture of straw hats which were exported worldwide from the beginning of the 19th century. Apart from having their private bedrooms, my guests are welcomed to share the living area which has lovely views all around the surrounding hills dotted with villas, castles and churches and also in the winter, enjoy sitting around of the log fire sipping a good glass of Chianti. The Crystal Room in the tower of the villa, is a charming, romantic double room with a brand new private bathroom boasting exasperating views over the valley below
