Historical mansion built in the 19th Century immersed in a wonderful park; a wide extension of pines, oaks and centuries-old plants, for those who love to be surrounded by nature despite being just three minutes drive from the city center. In a few minutes, even by walking, it is in fact possible to reach the city of Sarzana, a small jewel located in the center of “Val di Magra”. Considered the heir of the ancient Roman city of Luni, with its “Old Town” full of shops and restaurants surrounded by perfectly preserved medieval walls, Sarzana is recognized as a landmark for both seaside tourism (for those who want to reach Lerici, Cinque Terre, Portovenere or the closest Marinella di Sarzana as well as the Tuscany coast) as well as for cultural tourism, thanks to the several events organized in the city, including the most famous “Festival della Mente”. For guests not equipped with a car, the bust stop is a few steps far from the B&B.
The B&B “I Poggi di Santa Caterina” was born from the desire of a family who wanted to open the doors of its historical mansion to guests that would like to visit this wonderful corner of Italy, feeling welcomed in a familiar, comfortable and cozy environment.
Santa Caterina, besides being very close to the city center, offers the chance to easily reach some of the best restaurants of the area. Moreover, the “CentroLuna” shopping center is just few steps away from the B&B.
