Property information
Shika House features 3 bedrooms, a tatami tv room that can serve as a 4th bedroom, kitchen dining, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. A 3 km drive or bus ride (bus stop out front) to Rusutsu Ski Resort West Mountain or 3 km drive to East Mountain and walking distance to local restaurant Miyuki Drive In, Seicomart, Lawson, Sapporo Drugstore supermarket.
Guests can enjoy floor to ceiling views from the living dining kitchen looking out to a garden of mature trees and conifers surrounding the property perimeter. The house has panel heaters throughout, basement for storage of ski and snowboard equipment and off street parking.

- Makkari is 10 km and Lake Toya (Toyamachi) is 15 km away.
- Hirafu (23 km), Hanazono (31 km), Niseko Village (26 km), Annapuri (26 km) and Moiwa (27 km) ski resorts and Kutchan (28 km) drive away.
- New Chitose Airport (88 km) approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes drive away or bus to/from Rusutsu Resort with complimentary transfer to and from Shika House on arrival and departure.

Neighbourhood information
Rusutsu has been a popular summer get-away with Japanese for decades, but winter is when it shines. Operating from late November to mid April, Rusutsu Resort is one of the largest ski resorts in Hokkaido.
The resort is spread over 3 mountains, (East Mt, West Mt, and Mt Isola) with 37 different courses to choose from (view the trail map ).
There are a total of 42km of runs, with the longest course reaching 3500m in length. The courses were carefully designed to give skiers at every level an exciting challenge. They are split roughly beginner level, and intermediate.
Rusutsu has always been a popular vacation spot in summer because of the wonderful mountain climate - not too hot or humid unlike summers throughout the rest of Asia, and with a wealth of activities.
usutsu Resort has an amusement park with everything from merry-go-rounds for the kids, to roller coasters for the adrenaline junkie in you. They also include abundant shopping for souvenirs and gifts of all kinds.
Those looking for outdoor sports can try paragliding, river rafting, and road cycling. Mt Shiribetsudake is a popular hiking spot with long shady trails and several beautiful views of Mt Yotei, Hokkaido’s Mt Fuji.
