Enjoy a wonderful tranquil experience away from the constant noise of breaking waves and loud music by the beach in Mirissa. Mirissa is well known for the fabulous beach and whale watching expeditions but there is much more on offer for the discerning few who seek tranquility and natural beauty of the inlands. Ideal for honeymooners seeking privacy in a lush hideout or meditation/yoga practitioners seeking tranquil surrounds. Perfect location for a quiet gathering with family and friends. Lake View bungalow is located by the Garanduwa lake just two kilometers inland from the main road and the Mirissa beach. It is set on a steep slope by the lake in a small village which has ancient Buddhist temples dating back over many centuries. You can enjoy spectacular views of the lake and stunning sunsets from the verandah of the bungalow. The lake and the surround ecosystem is home to over 50 species of birds and is ideal for bird watching expeditions. There is a beautiful island on the lake for exploring at leisure in a paddle boat. The area is a photographers dream location with fabulous sunsets against the marshland and the many species of flora and fauna.
We have two staff members at the property who will take care of all your needs. Meals can be prepared according to your preference on the premises or can be delivered to you. This property is part of the well known Villa Atulya Collection and you will have access to the pool at Villa Atulya on request. Meals can also be served there on request. Our chefs specialise in local cuisine of the area and can offer wonderful meals prepared with fresh ingredients. Sea food dishes are excellent and well appreciated by our guests. Vegetarian fare on offer is exceptional.
Lake View bungalow is located in a quiet village area within close proximity of a number of interesting craft markets. Mask making has been a skill passed on through generations of this area and are used in various ceremonies of healing practices. There is a pottery factory where you can buy many items of interest.
