Property info

Opened only since end of 2017. We welcome you to our true guest house: a calm and intimate refuge for your stay in the Todgha Gorge. The spacious, south-facing rooms are flooded with natural light, and boast private balconies from which you can enjoy views of the river below and the high cliffs soaring above. Our large terrace overlooking the shaded garden is the ideal place to relax in the evening (it's also the only place in the gorge where you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer!). Built in 2017 from only natural materials like bricks, lime, earth, straw, and plaster, our house stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Water is heated by a solar panel and, thanks to the generous North African sun, hot water is always readily available. As a traditional guesthouse, we share our dinners around one table. We find that guests enjoy the communal atmosphere and the opportunity to meet and discuss with new people from around the world. We prepare meals using only fresh ingredients -- some of which are grown in our own garden.

Neighborhood info

The house is located at the entrance of the Todgha Gorge in the village of Tizgui, at the edge of the river gardens. The environment is calm and peaceful. The gorges are only 8 minutes walk either by road or by footpaths in the gardens. From your base at A Secret Garden you can enjoy world-class rock climbing in the Todra Gorge, as well as ample opportunities for hiking, mountaineering, walking, and horse riding. The weather is agreeable year-round. In winter, the sun remains warm, and in summer, the shaded and breezy interior of the gorge offers a refuge from summer heat.
