Secluded in very private & safe, gated community, our house offers an excellent getaway from the hustle & bustle to be perched directly above the beautiful Whakamoenga Point on the shores of Lake Taupo. Our house has an open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living room with glass sliding doors on either side to create an airy feel that enables you to enjoy the views of the lake from every rooms in the house & open up different sides of the house depending on the weather. The large living room has an open fireplace and a 10 seat dining table, not to mention further dining options either on the front deck or in the internal courtyard. 5 BEDROOMS AVAILABLE: * Bunkroom on the same floor as the living area with 5 beds (3 single & 2 king single) & large Flat screen TV *Master bedroom, with Super King bed, ensuite bathroom with a double shower & a bath, private deck with a very large outdoor stone bath & shower. *Guest Bedroom 1, with Queen size bed (shares bathroom with Guest bedroom 2) *Guest Bedroom 2, with Super King size bed *Lanai cottage, with Queen size bed & ensuite bathroom We have 3 flat screen TV's, surround sound around the house, heating/fireplaces & Aircon as well
We are a family of 5 (6,3 & 1.5 year old kids) living in Hong Kong. My husband is a kiwi and I'm Belgian. We are super social and love sharing drinks & dinner at our fabulous lake house with our special friends from all around the world. We absolutely love the serenity at The Point, my husband loves fishing in front of our house and we go every morning for a crisp swim with the kids launching from one of our 2 private boat ramps. Tennis/petanque are also available at the Point, amazing private beaches. We also have a helipad available at the grounds. So many things to do in Taupo, fishing/mountain biking/stand up paddle board/boating/sky diving etc..
The Point is a very special place, with amazing views & a sense of quietness & tranquility. Everything from the amazing landscaping to the birds singing in the morning will induce a sense of calm and ease you quickly into a relaxing holiday mode. The Point is also a very safe and private place to be (especially with children) with only people residing at the point being able to gain access to the property & facilities due to the private gates at the entrance. This is certainly NOT a place to party and all noise must be down by midnight at the latest.
