This fabulous family home has a large, renovated kitchen, with open plan lounge and dining and is stocked with everything you need for a great family holiday.This stylish apartment has been recently renovated with a mid century design aesthetic. Featuring a king size master bedroom with Smart Tv with French doors opening onto a private garden courtyard, second queen bedroom plus a third kids bedroom with 2 single beds sleeping 6 in total. Plus a full bathroom with laundry. All bedrooms and main living area have air con installed so can be heated or cooled according to the season. The state of the art kitchen has a large fridge-freezer with ice maker and espresso coffee machine as well as an oven, 5 burner induction hob plus all the kitchen utensils you need to create a gourmet meal. There is also an outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ, bar fridge and dining area, plus an outdoor lounge with wood fire. This extra living space has a roof and sliding doors so can be open to the garden or closed off for cosy nights by the fire. The garden area has an 8 seater spa hot tub and outdoor shower, perfect for a rinse off after a trip to the beach followed by a soak in the hot tub. The beautifully planted tropical gardens complete the resort like setting. This property is nestled into the corner of the reserve next to a large stand of trees so you feel tucked away in your own private paradise with only the sounds of the birdsong and surf to listen to in this quiet rural location. The adjoining reserve has a mountain bike pump track and cricket pitch, perfect for fun & games, theres lots of local cafes and beaches to bike to if you bring the bikes and a boat ramp nearby perfect for fishing boats. The campground across the reserve has a few essentials in their store and a cute cafe for ice creams, coffees and treats. You can easily access within 2 minutes walk 3 beaches, the main surf beach of Waihi Beach, Anzac Bay or nearby Cave Bay (accessed from Bowentown Head carpark).
Neighbourhood information
Our place is just a short walk to the beautiful white sand and waves of Waihi Beach or choose the sheltered Anzac Bay(no waves, boat ramp, excellent fishing) which is also just a few mins walk. The house borders a large reserve with cricket ground and bike pump track also. Flat footpaths in the Pio Shores subdivision are perfect for the kids bikes and scooters and a playground complete with mini soccer field is just down the road. There's also a basketball court and coin operated tennis court within the subdivision. From the nearby Bowentown reserve (next to boat club) there’s a walking/bike track from Bowentown up the estuary that ends near the award winning Surf Shack Café, a lovely excursion for breakfast or lunch. The nearby Waihi Beach village has a host of great boutique shops and cafes to complete your holiday experience. We also recommend the walk from the north end of the beach over to Orakawa Bay (approx 45 mins one way) and exploring nearby Waihi town and the walking and biking tracks in beautiful Karangahape Gorge.
