John's Place is located just outside the center of Arusha, Tanzania, and offers a blend of comfort and local charm in a quiet, residential, and safe neighborhood. Whether you are going on a safari adventure or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, John's Place offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere under the African sky.
I have been going on safari for years and have visited many African countries. Eventually, I fell in love with Tanzania and settled in Arusha. I stay here for about five months a year. The house also houses the offices of the LUWAI Foundation, a Zen foundation dedicated to education, health, and welfare for the local population of the village of Miririny in the Meru district.
Niro Hill is a quiet, safe, and green neighborhood just outside the busy center of Arusha. There are two supermarkets, a mini market, several vegetable stalls, and a few good restaurants within walking distance of the house. Here you can also take a taxi or a daladala (minibus) to the center of Arusha.
