    Location. Location. Location. Loved hearing the trains come by and being able to walk wherever I wanted to go. House has plenty of history which was also nice. Very enjoyable. Free morning coffee on the front porch was also a great touch.

    The place was clean and welcoming. I was able to get quick responses whenever I needed a question answered. The location was perfect for walking to everything. We also learned about the 1799 inn on a ghost tour which was fun to do at night.

We're Cathy and Bryan. We live just up the hill and will be your hosts to make sure your visit is safe and comfortable. Our company, Potomac Adventure, manages the 1799 Inn as well as several other unique properties in Harpers Ferry.

A historic home built in 1799, located in the heart of Lower Town Harpers Ferry! The C&O Canal towpath, Harpers Ferry National Park, and may other attractions, are just a few steps from your door. The historic Harpers Ferry train station is just across the street. NOTE: Please be aware that it is an active railroad so whistles and train noise should be expected day AND night. If you think noise will be a problem for you, contact us at Potomac Adventure and we will help you find a more suitable accommodation. This is a house steeped in fascinating history (not to mention plenty of ghost stories). The property originally served as lodging for Armory workers, until the end of Civil War. It is the 2nd oldest building in Harpers Ferry. Each 1 bedroom apartment features the following: - Private bedroom (with 1 queen bed) - Private bathroom (shower and toilet) - Private spacious living room (sofa and Roku TV) - Kitchen or kitchenette - Indoor dining area - Patio or veranda with seating (shared with other guests)
