The Euterpe House is located in the beautiful and vibrant Lower Garden District. Plenty of restaurants, shops, bars, museums and parks nearby or just sit on the front porch and relax. The house was completely renovated a few years back from a shotgun double to a large owner unit with a one bedroom rental. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood but still close to all the action. One block off Magazine St and an easy walk to all New Orleans has to offer. In the renovation the house was gutted to the studs and renovated with energy efficient features that keep it cool in the hottest New Orleans summers and worm on those rare cold days. We recently converted over to a whole home water purifier and softener, so feel free to drink straight from the tap.
I have now been hosting for over 14 years and have seen every type of guest come through our doors. I love having a short term rental next door because of all the different people I get to meet form all over the world.
I have lived in many different neighborhoods in New Orleans and when I made it to the Lower Garden District, I knew I was done moving. The neighborhood has been revitalized with amazing restorations that has showcased all the architectural gems that line the streets. The neighborhood has grown up with me and now young families fill the homes. With close access to downtown and French Quarter as well as Uptown, the LGD (Lower Garden District) really is the center of the town.
