African Roots Guest House is a tranquil guesthouse catering for business and leisure accommodation. We offer you a quiet, comfortable and affordable stay with warm hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere. Situated perfectly between the city centre and the established suburbs of Bendor and Welgelegen the guesthouse is close to a variety of cinemas, restaurants and malls which are located within easy travel distance. The guesthouse is part of the original farmhouse built in 1928. The original steel pressed ceilings and oregon pine floors have been retained and the architecture has been adapted to a more contemporary style. A variety of accommodation is catered for to suit different needs and all units have individual entrances onto the garden and pool. The upmarket rooms have their own lounge and fireplace and are stylishly furnished with a range of antique and contemporary furniture and local artwork. All units have a television with MNET and DSTV, a mini-bar and tea/coffee facilities. A Full English breakfast is served accompanied with fresh seasonal fruit, cereal and yogurt. Dinner is served on request. Secure parking with remote access control is provided.
African Roots Guest House has a sister establishment called Graceland Eco Retreat which is situated in the Kudu River Valley in Magoebaskloof. This retreat is our escape from city life as it is run eco-wise with all energy and hot water generated through solar. The giraffe, kudu, impala and various other small game make it ideal for hiking and birding. Both properties are owner run so as to ensure a personal touch and we strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
African Roots Guest House is situated in Moregloed which formed part of the original farm on which Polokwane was established. The guest house is within reach of 2 cinemas, various malls as well as a variety of restaurants. The public hospital and Medi-clinic is within 1km of the guest house.
