Constantia Guest House is centrally situated in quiet leafy upper Constantia. We have ample solar electricity backup so the guests experience no load shedding or power cuts. We also use borehole water on the property. There are Velux skylights in the main bedroom for natural lighting. The garden is indigenous and planted with local fynbos. There are ponds & bee hives within the guesthouse garden. The garden has a large bricked patio area with a wooden table and chairs. Constantia Guest House offers comfortable accommodation for singles and couples. There is one en-suite bathroom with shower only. The guesthouse is carpeted wall to wall and all bedding is natural feather and down so not ideal for guests with feather allergies. The building was built in the 1950s. The guesthouse access is private and the unit is self contained - no thoroughfare through, or access to main house. The Constantia Guest House: Sleeps one or two guests, self catering. Solar electricity backup and borehole water Facilities : Bedroom with queen size bed - down pillows & duvets - bathroom with shower off the bedroom - towels provided - kitchenette - living room with DSTV - dining area - internet & wifi - second room with desk and chair - off street parking for two cars - large private garden with braai/barbequeue facility.
We enjoy hiking on the mountain and greenbelts and the leafy rural Constantia area. Also the excellent local wine route - most wine farms are within a few kilometres of Constantia Guesthouse.
The area is quiet and peaceful with greenbelts nearby. Constantia Village shopping mall is 1.8km away, with good restaurants and amenities. Constantia has easy access to Cape Town city and the Waterfront, is 25km to Cape Town Airport. It is also close to the False Bay beaches, Hout Bay and the Atlantic Ocean beaches. The Constantia Valley Wine Route consists of nine farms within a few kilometres of Constantia Guest House. The farms are Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Constantia Uitsig, Eagles Nest, Constantia Glen, Beau Constantia, Silvermist and Steenberg Farm. Most Estates offer wine tasting and purchasing, also top restaurants. Other attractions include Table Mountain, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Gardens, City Sightseeing Bus, V&A Waterfront, cycling or hiking tours, and several excellent Golf courses. The local network of greenbelts are perfect for walking or trail running.
