India Chennai Ibis Chennai Sipcot - An Accord Brand We would like to recommend this Hotel Ibis Chennai Sipcot - An Accord Brand, because my staying there was a fabulous! I had a chance to stay in this hotel many days & enjoy a kind attitude from staff of that Hotel. Everything is nice, clean & new there: furniture, bed’s stuff (soft mattress and pillows), washroom’s stuff (the towels new, soft and smell fresh). There is a nice bar with friendly bar tenders, kind attitude, fast service and yummy drinks🍹! They have a big menu includes Indian and European food. Chefs can cook for you even Mediterranean yummy food, as well! 🥗 There is a convenient location. So close to Kovalam beach where you can enjoy brizz and beautiful view of the sea. I stayed at the Ibis Chennai City Centre for nearly four weeks, from Oct 15th '23 thru Nov 10th '23. This review is based on my experiences and observations during my stay. I am an NRI and was in Chennai to care for an ailing relative. I chose this place for two reasons, one, the proximity of the hotel to my relative's place and two, I was also working off-site during this period and needed reliable internet service and expected a business hotel such as this one to better serve my needs. I am happy to say that choosing to stay in this hotel was an excellent choice for both reasons. Pros : 1. Excellent service at all levels - from housekeeping (thanks Joel!) to the friendly staff in the restaurant where I had my breakfast buffet every morning (Thanks Charmila, Shobana, Ashish, Akhil, Hemnath, Siva, Dwiden, to name a few) and the folks at the front desk (Mallika, Gopi). Having stayed there for nearly four weeks I got to know them well. The best part was on the last day of my stay, after breakfast, they gave me a surprise farewell party with a cake and a nice gift. 2. The breakfast buffet was terrific. As a South Indian NRI, I enjoyed the idlis, pongal, upma, and dosa and filter coffee and tea. They also served cereals, eggs, toast etc. plus fresh fruits and fruit juices. Needless to say, I gained a few pounds. 3. My room had a queen bed and a view of the city. It was a bit compact but not cramped. The shower was excellent and the air-conditioning kept the room comfortable. Best part was the windows were nearly soundproof - I could barely hear the constant beeping and honking typical of traffic in most Indian cities. 4. Room service menu was also quite good. Scan a QR code for the menu and place the order. The kitchen would call soon after I placed the order to confirm and give me an estimate for how long it would take.
