One of the best decisions we made for our Hallstatt-visit, was booking accommodation at Pension Bergfried. It is located at Hallstatt-Lane, just out of the busy part of the village, but close enough to stroll everywhere - even walking from the ferry-harbour with all of our luggage was not that difficult! The reception-staff were very welcoming and friendly and Anke, our host, super - what a fine lady! Our room (see note below), was bright and clean, decorated minimalistic (which I prefer) but tasteful. Bedding and linen perfect and crisp. The breakfast served in a beautiful spacious dining-room, was superb! Would love to come back one day, or if not, recommend it strongly to stay here.

Everything was super! Especially thank you that we can stay at the hotel with our cat. It's a pity that we only stayed here for one night. The wellness area is simply amazing. Because there was a wedding event in the hotel restaurant on the evening of our arrival. Daniel helped us very quickly to find a place where we could have dinner. Thank you
