Our stay here was nothing short of brilliant. What truly sets this hotel apart is its team. Every single staff member we encountered, from the housekeeping to the restaurant staff, was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The facilities were excellent, and our room was quiet and peaceful. My stay at this hotel was truly fantastic, thanks to its outstanding amenities. Swimming pool, gym, tennis anf golf - all these superb facilities made my visit unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel for a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. This was such a perfect hotel to stay in. The lovely little balcony with a view of the stream. The room was spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was excellent. It was also very easy to visit nearby towns and access to local walks.

Set in 3 acres of mature gardens, Tweedies Bar and Lodge is a period property with traditional charm.

We had side by side rooms to fit our family of 5. The rooms were well equipped with dishes. We also appreciated the extra seating so that we could all hang out in the larger room to watch a movie. The location was great. Easy walk to a Roman Fort, the lakefront, pubs, and also walkable into Ambleside. Our kids loved the hot tub. Staff were friendly.

Derek and Eta were so helpful and friendly. We stayed on the top floor with a beach view. The beds were so comfy and we enjoyed the hot tub. Will definitely come back.
